Mallick's 'Middle Men' Gets Distribution

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Producer Christopher Mallick's mainstream film "Middle Men" has been picked up by mainstream distributor Essential Entertainment, which will be offering it for international sales at Cannes later this month.

Mallick, whoco-produced the film through his production company Oxymoron Entertainment, is the owner of third-party biller ePassporte.

Starting with Mallick's own experiences, "Middle Men" is a fictionalized comedy about a straight-laced businessman who builds the first online billing company dealing exclusively with adult entertainment and finds himself caught between the Russian mob, a 23-year-old porn star and the FBI. The film was directed by George Gallo, who wrote the cult hit "Midnight Run," and written by Gallo and Andy Weiss. The film features Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi, Gabriel Macht, James Caan, Kelsey Grammer, Robert Forster, Kevin Pollak and John Ashton.

The film was financed through Oxymoron Entertainment and is produced by Mallick and Blue Star Entertainment’s William Sherak and Jason Shuman, along with Michael Weiss.

U.S distribution for the film has not been determined.
