Penny Flame No Longer Performing But Not Leaving Adult Industry
While Flame has stopped performing in front of the camera — a move that was in the works well before being cast in the reality series — she will continue to direct her line of sex education videos through Vivid Entertainment’s Vivid-Ed label.
Her latest edition in the series, “Penny Flame’s Guide to Rough Sex,” is out now.
“After eight years of enjoying, benefiting from and embracing this industry, I’ve come to a point in my life that performing is not a place — mentally — that I am capable of being in anymore,” Flame told XBIZ. “I’m in no way denouncing the industry; I love the adult business and I always will. It made me everything I am today. I’m grateful for the time I spent in front of the camera, but I am not going anywhere.
“Not performing anymore will allow me to pursue other goals that I had no time for previously, like getting a film degree. I’m still excited to direct and work on other projects for Vivid — albeit from behind the camera this time. Like I said, I’m not leaving, I’m just taking my business in this business in a new direction.”
Part of Flame’s continued involvement will be in her website, PennyFlame.com, now part of Vivid’s web operation. She said she’s shot tons of content for the site and will be rolling out plenty of updates to keep subscribers happy. Members also receive access to the full complement of Vivid websites after subscribing to Flame’s site.
Flame has launched a blog that chronicles her post-performing life at BecomingJennie.com.
