The DraftStormy.com website, which was launched without Daniels’ knowledge, was started by New Orleans resident Zack Hudson, a fan of hers. The movement is to elect Daniels to the Senate seat currently held by David Vitter, R-La., who was embroiled in the “D.C. Madam” scandal.

After the website debuted in January, Daniels has ridden a wave of mainstream attention — all without officially declaring her candidacy. The story has been covered on CNN, MSNBC, Wonkette.com, Politico.com, ThinkProgress.com and many other political news sites and blogs.

Daniels’ listening tour, in which she will have a dialogue to listen to the concerns and issues important to Louisiana residents, kicks off Tuesday at noon at the Roux House in Baton Rouge, Daniels’ home town.

Following that stop, Daniels will travel to New Orleans to have lunch on Wednesday with the public at Serio’s Po Boys and Deli.

“Draft Stormy is excited about the listening tour and is confident that it will help persuade Stormy Daniels to accept their challenge and run for Senate,” a campaign spokesperson said. “We believe that the voters of Louisiana are ready for change and look forward to bringing honesty, integrity, and strength of character back to the United States Senate.”
