Industry Vet Desi Benjamin Seriously Injured in Car Accident

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. — Adult entertainment businessman Desi Benjamin has been unconscious for about a week after sustaining head and chest injuries from an automobile accident in Canoga Park.

Benjamin, 39, has been involved in the adult biz for more than 10 years after a career in the music industry.

Benjamin operates a popular location house in the West Hills and is involved with adult production company Venom Inc., co-producing a DVD line, according to long-time friend Adam Grayson.

He also is known as owner of Subculture Multimedia and numerous adult websites, including the Bada Bucks affiliate program.

He started in the business by creating official sites for such performers as Tiffany Mynx and Jasmine St. Claire, Grayson said.

“Desi was T-boned in an intersection on Canoga Avenue,” Grayson told XBIZ. “It’s the case where someone shouldn’t have been in the intersection — that’s all I know. He’s been unconscious since the accident and is heavily sedated.”

Grayson noted that Benjamin had been driving a sturdy car — a Chrysler 300 — but that the impact was severe.

“We’re holding our breath,” Grayson said. “I’ve been trying to get the word out to his business clients that he has been in the hospital and that he hasn’t been able to tend to business deals.”

Those interested in sending flowers or get-well notes to Benjamin may send them to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, ICU Ward, Room No. 2416, 18300 Roscoe Blvd., Northridge, CA 91325.
