ANYwebcam.com Goes Portuguese

Tapping into the more than 200 million people worldwide who speak Portuguese, ANYwebcam.com, a popular website for adult Internet video technology, penned a deal with Brazil's Popular Internet Ltda to provide live video-chat capability to millions of non-English speaking adult entertainment fans.

ANYwebcam's Director Gordon Williams issued a statement from his office in Melbourne, Australia that the Portuguese language version of ANYwebcam.com is intended to provide live interactivity and chat capability to the many diverse, non-English-speaking people of the world using inexpensive webcams and standard Internet connections.

Sao Paulo, Brazil-based Popular Internet will provide translation services, marketing and business development, upkeep of the website, and customer support suitable for the Brazilian Internet market, Williams said.

Popular Internet will be supplied with a webcam broadcaster, high-speed webcam viewer, and live voice and text chat systems.

ANYwebcam.com's website technology enables users to watch, chat, and interact in real-time with other ANYwebcam.com members from around the world. The site enables members to watch other people's "cams" of themselves rated by gender, chat with thousands of people through voice and text forums, and interact with other members via photo and video competitions, message boards, and member surveys.

ANYwebcam boasts an estimated two million visitors per month and counts the Popular Internet Ltda deal as its first bold initiative toward extending its voice and text chat service into non-English speaking regions of the world.

Recent industry research indicates that Brazil is quickly emerging as one of the world's fastest growing Internet-centric countries, with an estimated 29 million users by 2005.

Slated for launch by the end of this year, the Portuguese version of ANYwebcam.com will be made available to users with personal computers connected to standard modem connections, handheld PCs, and mobile phones.

Founded in 1998, Popular Internet Ltda promotes the purchase and sale of products and services via the web. The company is also involved in online news delivery, chat sites, and television and magazine publishing.
