WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — A standing-room-only crowd of more than 200 attendees at the XBIZ State of the Industry conference heard LFP founder Larry Flynt give his take on the adult industry‘s woes over free content, Republicans (including Rush Limbaugh), President Obama and, of course, his porn bailout plan.

“People responded to the [bailout proposal] more than any of my other ideas,” said Flynt, who answered questions posed by Tom Hymes in an exclusive one-hour one-on-one session. “I take pride in that.”

Flynt admitted that his $5 billion bailout request with Girls Gone Wild’s Joe Francis was ludicrous and went on the record with the overflow crowd at the Warner Center Marriott that he is “anti-stimulus and anti-bailout.”

“I’ve got a solution for all of these companies [that are asking for bailout money]; it’s called bankruptcy,” Flynt said.

Flynt told the audience of webmasters, content providers, billing companies, performers, directors and other adult business professionals that his industry has faced setbacks with free content on the web but not so much with piracy, as compared to other mainstream entertainment sectors.

“We’ve got problems to sort out on the Internet,” Flynt said. “There’s so much free stuff that costs the industry in untold terms. Some of the free stuff is really bad; most of it is all about shock value.”

Flynt railed against Republicans, even calling newly crowned “supposed Republican leader” Limbaugh “a big, fat clown,” and made a recommendation to Obama that he shouldn't try to waste his time trying to get Republican votes for his causes.

“I’ve never known a Republican who is bipartisan,” Flynt said. “Everything is me, me, me.”

He also said that his presidential vote for Obama was a clear one.

“I wouldn’t have voted for [John] McCain if you put a gun to my head,” Flynt said.

“I think we all need to support Obama,” he said. “There are people out there who are really hurting.”
