Vivid’s ‘Deep Throat’ Remake Chronicled in Reality Show

LOS ANGELES — Vivid Entertainment’s remake of the classic “Deep Throat” is recounted in the reality series “Deeper Throat,” which begins airing Feb. 14 at 11:30 p.m. on Showtime.

"In the first episode of the series Ray asked me to meet him in a really seedy strip joint in Vegas and the place made me feel uncomfortable," Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsh said. "Then he had one of his dancers try to give me a lap dance and I was thinking well, 'You gotta do what you gotta do to make this happen,' but I just hope it's worth it."

The first episode is entitled “Deeper Throat: Vegas Baby.” On Feb. 21, Showtime screens “Deeper Throat: Finding Linda.”

“Throat: A Cautionary Tale” is directed by Paul Thomas and stars Sasha Grey in the Linda Lovelace role.
