Electracash Names Richard S. Cornejo as Marketing Director

LONG BEACH, Calif. — Internet payment service provider Electracash has announced its appointment of Richard S. Cornejo as director of marketing.

Electracash offers eCheck processing for retailers, online B2B service providers and recurring billing for online purchases. The company recently unveiled a comprehensive affiliate program for electronic payment resellers and says that the addition of Cornejo is part of its strategy for growth and service of a new product line of e-commerce solutions being released this year.

"I have known Rich for more than 30 years and his exceptional experience in the high-risk bank credit card acquiring market makes him the perfect choice as our new Director of Marketing," Electracash CEO Lee Falls said. "With all that Electracash has going on, and with the robust growth we foresee in 2009, we see adding Rich to the management mix as the best way to be sure our organizational efforts in the marketing and sales area succeed."

According to the company, Cornejo previously served as Executive Vice President and BankCard Manager for Charter Pacific Bank, a leading credit card acquiring bank for e-commerce and high risk category merchants, managing a total portfolio in excess of $250 million annually, and has held a number of senior executive management positions at leading financial institutions in Southern California; including over ten years at Union Bank and more than two years as President and Chief Executive Officer of BBH Qualified Plans, Inc.

"I've incorporated sophisticated risk analysis tools and fulfillment management techniques for domestic and international merchants while offering specialized Internet billing options and services for online portals as well," Cornejo said. "What has always excited me about this business is the nearly limitless possibility for expansion and growth at the nexus of technology and finance. Electracash is a catalyst for progress in that regard and I am elated to be a part of the team moving forward."
