Organizers Gear Up for the 2009 XBIZ Conference Golf Tournament

CALABASAS, Calif. — Organizers are gearing up for the 2009 XBIZ Conference Golf Tournament, set to kick off the conference Feb. 9 in Calabasas, Calif.

Presented by NetBilling and MatrixHD, the tournament will take place at Calabasas Country Club and include “prizes, drink and a day of fun,” according to Mitch Farber, NetBilling president and tournament organizer.

At the tournament, guests will compete in contests, such as longest drive, best ball shotgun, straightest drive and $30,000 hole in one.

“[We’re expecting] 10-plus groups and 40-plus people,” Stephen Bugbee, Matrix Content president and tournament organizer, told XBIZ. “We have more sponsors than ever.”

Event sponsors include CamZ, CECash, Mansion Productions, Webquest, Epoch, National Net, VideoSecrets, MatrixHD and NetBilling.

Bugbee added that performer Sunny Leone would attend the event to promote her new project with Webquest.

“Our project is pretty close to being ready, so we think we’re timing it just about right for the conference,” Christian Amico, Webquest operations manager, told XBIZ. “[To promote the project], we’re thinking of throwing some sort of party, and of course, doing board posts, ads and things of that nature.”

Further details on the project had not been released at time of post.

“We have a great course and great sponsors,” Bugbee said. “We look forward to a great day of golf and a great kickoff to XBIZ Conference 2009.”

Buses leave from the Marriot at 10 a.m., and the tournament is expected to begin at 11:30 a.m. Tickets cost $80 per person and include range balls, golf carts, bag tags, lunch, snacks and transportation to and from the course and the Marriot Warner Center. Signup ends midnight Feb. 7.
