"I think it's a first in the adult industry," LA Direct website administrator Simon Says told XBIZ. "We're trying to become a one-stop shop, where people who are shooting can say 'We need somebody who can shoot this thing' and we have people who can do it. We're going to try and plug in as many people as possible."
The "one-stop shop" concept is familiar in mainstream, with large talent agencies like CAA and William Morris packaging projects from their client lists of writers, directors and actors.
The first director on the LA Direct roster is Alan E.
"He's a photographer more than anything else," Says said. "He's capable of bringing his photography skills into video. He's got a background in design and production, that sort of thing, and he has shot adult before. He's well-qualified."
Information on the first makeup artist is expected to be posted tomorrow.
