X-Play Preps Spoofs of 'Cosby Show,' 'Married … With Children'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Adult production company X-Play, currently on a streak of spoofing classic TV series, has set its sights on the highbrow and the lowbrow for its next two projects.

The company will produce sexy send-ups of the family-friendly comedy series "The Cosby Show" before moving on to the vulgar and virtually unspoofable series "Married... With Children." Production begins in January.

"Not The Cosby Show XXX" had a casting call back in October and is ramping up for a 12-day shoot that will start on Dec. 9.

“If you don’t get Cliff Huxtable just right and their brownstone looking exactly the way it was, we’re wasting everybody’s time,” Mullen said, and although he didn't reveal if the 12-day Christmastime shoot would include any partridges or pear trees, he did add that casting would be crucial for a successful parody of "Married... With Children."

But despite the casting challenges, Mullen said that the format and cast of the original show, which featured such lookers as Katey Sagal and Christina Applegate, easily lends itself to the adult format.

“Every episode of that show just dripped with some type of sexual situation, and we’re going to have some fun, but right now I have the Huxtables on my mind,” Mullen said.

After the success of such titles as "Britney Rears" and "Not The Bradys XXX," X-Play has continued making mainstream spoofs, including "Not Bewitched XXX," "Not Three's Company XXX" and the recent sequel "Not The Bradys XXX: Marcia, Marcia, Marcia."

“We have so many movies in various states of production that it really pushes us to our limits and challenges what we can get accomplished," Mullen said. "Our little production company is now bustling with non-stop activity.”
