Jessica's FANtasies

Wicked Pictures contract star extraordinaire Jessica Drake writes, directs and performs in her new documentary-styled, episodic showcase, which grants fans an unprecedented level of input on the content. As one of the most prolific stars in the biz, coming off a strong year where her showcase “Divine” was recognized as the XBIZ All-Sex Movie of the Year, Drake returns with a unique project that exists as a direct response to fan feedback.

As she states during the interview portion of the scenes, one of the most frequent questions she’s asked is when her next scene is coming out. Jessica acknowledges that as a contract performer who shoots two to three movies a year, with all of them releasing around awards season, there just wasn’t much content for her fans to consume during the first half of the year. This series is her remedy to that issue.

It should be noted that while many people will appreciate the fan interaction of this project (we’ll get to that a bit later) I am most impressed by the callback to the emphasis on behind-the-scenes-content with this project. Back in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s, every big movie, and many smaller ones, came jam-packed with tons of highlights about the creative process bringing those films to life. It was not uncommon to see multiple featurettes that included interviews, blooper reels, director commentary, story conceptualization and many other kinds of peeks behind the curtains that fans could digest.

In fact, many fans from that era learned very personal things about their favorite stars and interesting facts about their favorite movies because of that BTS content. As the industry has evolved, lots of projects have eschewed these extras, but “Jessica’s FANtasies” embraces the concept and pulls the curtain back once again in glorious fashion.

“My Younger Lover”

The first scene opens with Jessica doing an intimate and authentic interview where she explains her motivation for creating the series, and offers a ton of personal insight that is overwhelmingly endearing. The biggest revelation about the project? The sex is more unscripted than anything Wicked has produced in the last decade. By Jessica’s own admission, she had no idea what was going to happen sexually in the scene.

The scene itself is thus really sensual and passionate, with Tyler really taking his time, never rushing to get to the penetration, but truly relishing Jessica’s body. Watching him kiss her all over without trying to speed through the foreplay is very arousing and builds an incredible sense of anticipation. You can tell Jessica is enjoying herself the entire time, and she too, embraces the deliberate pace Tyler sets and lets herself enjoy the foreplay. Jessica becomes more expressive as the sex progresses, with Tyler fucking her slowly and softly to orgasm after orgasm. The lack of interruption for production’s sake is evident and the audience gets to see Jessica and Tyler interact with each other in a very genuine way.

Jessica isn’t shy about using lube (going so far as to leave the frame of the shot to grab it which rarely happens in a more scripted scene) and she’s not afraid to grab a toy to enhance her pleasure, feeling free to throw her head back and laugh with giddy ecstasy as her body shivers with pleasure. Also, if you pay attention to the scene’s conclusion, you’ll hear a very authentic reaction to Tyler’s cumshot from everyone involved, including Jessica, Tyler, and Barrett Blade who is filming. Nothing solidifies the unscripted nature of this scene more than their verbal exchange in that moment, and it was fantastic to see that vulnerable moment left in the final cut of the scene rather than being edited out.

This is a wonderful concept mainly because of the unique way it approaches fan interaction. As the title suggests, fans have a huge impact on how this series exists, and likely, how it will evolve. Jessica asks her fans via her social media platforms what kinds of acts they’d like to see in the series, and then what co-stars they’d like to see her shoot with. Lastly, she runs a poll on the Wicked.com forums in the member’s section where fans get a chance to vote on the performers they want to see in the scene based on the feedback received. Other companies and performers have certainly asked for fan feedback and taken it into account when crafting their content, but I’ve never seen a company offer this type of perk for being a member of their website. Not only is it an incredible incentive, but it creates a very intimate connection between Jessica, Wicked, and their fans. I cannot recommend this series enough. From the throwback to the BTS days of yore, to the direct value placed on fan feedback, to the joy of watching Jessica and her co-star enjoy each other uninhibited by the restrains of a more scripted shoot, this series is everything a fan could ask for.

“Bathing Beauties”

It’s ironic that the second installment of Drake’s sexy docs-series features a recent two-time award winner, but the extra kicker is the fact Charlotte Stokely has won the coveted XBIZ Girl/Girl Performer of the Year in back-to-back years, with “Bathing Beauties” marking the first time she and Drake have worked together. For a lot of Drake’s fans and perhaps Stokely’s as well, this is a dream pairing, as evidenced by the fact that Stokely won the fan vote in the Wicked.com member’s section over even some of the most popular and awarded performers in the business today.

As with the first installment of the series, the adventure opens with Drake narrating the journey to making it all happen. She mentions how excited she was when she found out that Charlotte had won, and she lauds the fact that Charlotte’s victory was of the landslide variety. This comment was especially intimate for members of wWicked.com, because they were actively able to follow the 11-day voting race and got a chance to witness Charlotte’s late surge to win the vote as it happened.

Drake also gives some background into her personal sexual history with women, as well as some very interesting insight into her vision behind the scene setup (which is incredibly detailed and impressive). The greenery transforms the bathroom into an exotic island grotto and creates a very hedonistic tone. Extremely well-done! The audience gets a chance to hear from Charlotte as well, and she is understandably excited to finally have the chance to be working with Drake. Again, the setup of this series is a fantastic way to build capital between Drake, her fans and fans of the Wicked brand.

The sex is absolutely wonderful. This is everything I’d hoped for when I found out these two would be paired together. Charlotte exhibits an aggressive and desperate hunger any time she’s touching Jessica; the way she kisses her all over and laps at her pussy like someone is going to take it away from her was so appealing and Jessica clearly enjoys every minute of it. Her actions match her admission of excitement from the interview portion of the scene and I adored it.

I also loved the contrast between the ravenous fervor Charlotte shows when she’s inhaling Jessica’s body compared to the deliberate, almost playful nature of Jessica’s exploration of Charlotte’s body. Jessica feels like someone who has finally gotten their hands on an artifact they’ve been trying to acquire for years, and is relishing the act of examining it. Watch Jessica’s face as she rubs Charlotte’s clit while cradling her body; she is so enamored with the involuntary reaction of Charlotte’s body to her touch, and she feels like she just wants to try everything she can think of to stimulate her just to see how much pleasure she can bring to the fore. It’s so erotic.

As with the previous episode, Jessica and her crew eschew the heavy editing typically seen in porn productions in favor of allowing the audience to get a sense of the genuine activity taking place. At one point, Charlotte suffers a cramp or some other unknown painful sensation to one of her toes, and Jessica opts to leave the moment intact for fans to see. This is so real and genuine and reminds us that our favorite performers are still mortals like us. It’s truly brilliant

This series is groundbreaking and trendsetting and in these uncertain times, offering fans a comforting repose from the harsh reality of the world around them by giving them a ticket to the reality of sex on film. This is a wonderful concept mainly because of the unique way it approaches fan interaction. Other companies and performers have certainly asked for fan feedback and taken it into account when crafting their content, but I’ve never seen a company offer this type of perk for being a member of their website. Not only is it an incredible incentive, but it creates a very intimate connection between Jessica, Wicked and their fans.
