The first time I ever heard this was in 1977. It pops into my head now and then, especially during the holidays, so I'd like to say that the old adage Money Can't Buy Happiness is a myth perpetuated by the observances of those who have not confronted and dealt with other limiting self-assurance and social interaction conflicts.
For the confident, well-adjusted educated or street-smart individual blessed with healthy self-esteem, I believe money can change lives and even buy happiness!
And this is just the first of a slew of these little entries, because I intend to destroy plenty of Myths here...
