Adult Industry Gatherings

When the time comes for a gathering of the adult industry’s best and brightest, what is the main function of the gathering? Do people go to do business? Are they there to meet up with old friends or perhaps to make new ones? Perhaps they’re just there to show off new stuff, introduce talent, or compare stats face to face.

Actually, all of those reasons apply, and it’s time now for some of the best shows. Spring and summer always bring about the hottest locations, best talent, and incredible photos. (Granted, you can get some really strange photos as well, but that’s for another article.)

What shows will you be attending? Should you even attend a webmaster convention? Chances are, if you really want to make something of this business, you really need to make it to at least one gathering. Keep in mind, though, that if you make it to one, you’re going to be hooked forever.

It isn’t just show and tell. There are some fabulous seminars, taught by the adult industry’s finest. These people are sharing their knowledge with you, and if you’re lucky enough to catch them after their seminar, (or before it), you can get their tricks on a one-on-one basis. This information can be worth millions of dollars in the hands of a creative entrepreneur.

Something else that can be worth super high money is the chance to chat one-on-one with the leaders of the adult industry. Have a drink, kick back, and talk business. You’ll find that these guys are usually very laid back and great to talk with. You’ll also learn a few things that you didn’t know, and I know of more than one high-money deal made over a dinner or a drink.

Goof off with your peers. It’s fun to enjoy a day at the beach playing volleyball, or having a costume ball in the evening with people who not only know what you do for a living but who can appreciate the stress and anxiety that come with the territory. These activities at webmaster gatherings that are simply for fun and merriment are specially geared toward blowing off some steam. It helps immeasurably and occasionally can lead to a deal or two.

Unless you’re living in a cave, you’re seeing a pattern of some sort here. No matter what you do at a webmaster convention, you have the potential to make deals. You can find your new career at a show, you can find a new investment opportunity at a show, or you can find new friends who will help you even as you help them. That’s what it’s all about. Webmasters helping webmasters, making money hand over fist.

Even a newbie to the industry has some serious opportunities if he thinks things through and doesn’t come across as a complete imbecile. There are many established webmasters in the industry who don’t mind helping the new guys because we were all new at one time or another.

Ask around to find out more about upcoming webmaster events. They are priceless and full of information that you can use to better your income. They may cost a bit to attend, but in the end, you will more than make up the cost. These things very quickly pay for themselves, often a thousand times over.

Take care of yourselves, and I’ll see you at the shows! ~ Tala
