" I want to educate them on the best- and worst-case scenarios of the business "

Adult star Lisa Ann is taking her vast experience as a performer and using it to empower the next generation of stars as a talent manager. Her new company, Clear Talent Management, already has 20 clients, and all throughout her interview, she kept jumping up from the purple couch in her office to answer a nonstop barrage of computer instant messages from her clients. (Jenna Presley had the flu and needed advice. Ann gave it.)

"I saw a lack of opportunities for women in the business," Ann told XFANZ. "I also saw a definite lack of actual managers. There are tons of agents but not managers."

Ann, 34, has already earned the nicknames "Miss Lisa" and "Porn Mama" from her clients, who include Ava Rose and Mia Rose. Ann has a simple strategy for all her clients: Work, but don't work too much.

"Agencies tend to work the girls five days a week," she said. "Sure, they make a lot of money, but that also tends to burn them out. What I do is advise them to schedule themselves more interviews, feature dance spots and photo shoots so they can space themselves out a bit."

But more than helping her talent pace themselves, Ann wants to get to know them while they get to know themselves in ways they may not have expected.

'I want to educate them on the best- and worst-case scenarios of the business," she said. "I encourage them to have fun — in moderation — but to stay focused. I get them to work on their credit ratings, think about tomorrow. No one really ever tells these girls that one day this will all end."

To keep herself sharp, Ann devours books on success and business.

Recently she enrolled in a class that dealt with financial responsibility and helped her turn "what was a very big lemon into lemonade." She's been hooked ever since.
