Changing Dialer Regulations

Editor's Note: For both surfers and webmasters alike, the word "dialer" often conjures up negative images of unauthorized charges and dubious pay outs. This is unfortunate, as today's more advanced dialer technology and top-flite service companies combine to transform a negative history into positive cash flow – if you can play by the rules... ~ Stephen

The Dialer market is changing rapidly. As we've seen with the credit card industry, regulations and guidelines to restrict this alternative billing method are fast approaching. Due to the unscrupulous business practices of some providers and users in the industry, stricter guidelines on the usage of dialers have been, and will continue to be, imposed in a number of countries. These guidelines will vary from country to country but the overall result will be dramatic to the market.

As an international billing provider currently offering two main pay by phone options; Dialer and Voice call, Goodthinxx wants to make sure that webmasters are aware of these changing regulations and equipped with accurate information.

As a definition, a Dialer is a software product which allows surfers to connect to a web site and pay for the content via their telephone connection, usually on a per-minute basis.

With Voice call, the end user connects by way of a regular or mobile phone to view web content. This is similar to a 900 billing option as it is billed to their telephone account.

Voice Call is a safe and reliable billing solution via phone or mobile phone. The end user, uses his telephone, dials the premium rate number that is shown on the screen / join form, and gets connected. As long as he is connected to the premium rate number, he will have access to your web site and the content is shown - anonymous, secure and worldwide - with one link for all languages.

This solution will work no matter what connection the surfer has (modem, broadband, LAN, cable, etc.), and is available in 236 countries worldwide, in 21 different languages. It offers 100% secure pay outs without charge backs.

With countries like England, Spain and Austria being affected by new dialer regulations, it's important that webmasters have solid and secure international billing options available. To enhance these options, European direct debit solutions for international billing will soon be offered as well.

We will be posting news about other countries affected by new dialer regulations as they arise. If you should have any specific questions regarding the new dialer regulations, please contact sales@goodthinxx.com.
