Pharmaceuticals for Profit

From Viagra to Xenical, Propecia to Claritan, Valtrex, Zyban and beyond, the high demand for online pharmaceuticals provides adult Webmasters with an additional revenue stream, and a chance to recycle existing traffic by marketing 'health' products to free-porn chasing audiences.

Sponsor signups not what they used to be? TGP surfers not rushing to join? Notice the old pond just ain't what it used to be? Well, when the fish stop biting, you either change your bait, or pack up and go home: Making the decision to give up is easy when the only thing biting is the mosquitoes, but it's a lot harder to quit when you can see the fish swimming by under your boat!

Traffic and fishing work the same way. Choosing the right bait is everything; whether it's crayfish to lure bass or 'Viagra boners' to lure prospects! If I had huge amounts of TGP traffic to work with (for example), I wouldn't try to sell them more photos - at least not exclusively. I would offer items that they HAD to pay for as well. And I would offer these items to my best traffic too, for even better results!

Signing up with an online pharmacy sponsor program such as Gamma Drugs is one of the easiest ways to diversify your product offerings and revenue streams. A pharmacy sponsor will handle all of the merchandizing, order processing, fulfillment, and customer service tasks involved with marketing a product that your site's visitors want but (unlike more porn) CAN'T get it for free. This makes for a decent opportunity for extracting additional profits from your existing traffic, and all it takes is for you to let your surfer's know that these products are available!

Of course, there's a reason that I'm thinking about pharmaceutical sales in particular today, and it's because of this spam-mail I received that was trying to sell me Viagra (a different company - not Gamma Drugs).

While I don't need Viagra, I do scan much of my spam looking for new trends and approaches, even if the offers themselves would never be responded to, because like circle-jerk sites, the taste of spam does not leave me reaching for my wallet. What this offer did though, rather than display the usual foolishness or giant "Click Here for a Big Dick!" text links, was present a "FAQ" on Viagra, with a link at the bottom to some IP address that I did not bother clicking on. I will bother to reprint this part of their spam, however, as it struck me as a great element to incorporate into a "Viagra" page.

!--- /SPAM -- Innovation and experimentation are necessary ingredients to profit in a marketplace dominated by fierce competitors and over saturation.

While the delivery mechanism (spam) was a bad idea, the approach is a decent if incomplete marketing effort that can provide guidance for similar projects one might wish to undertake. Making pages that describe the benefits and facts behind various products or services that you can receive a sales commission on, and then linking these pages to your existing sites makes an easy additional and potentially profitable traffic filter that's worth trying.

Innovation and experimentation are necessary ingredients to profit in a marketplace dominated by fierce competitors and frequent product over saturation. Online pharmaceuticals are not the only answer, they are one of a million possibilities - find the right offer for YOUR audience! ~ Stephen
