Pineapple Support to Host Suicide Prevention, Crisis Intervention Training Day

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Pineapple Support will conduct a free, in-person, day-long training on suicide prevention and crisis intervention, sponsored by APClips, on Saturday in West Hollywood, California.

The special event will be led by industry professionals and Pineapple Support therapists, including Nicoletta Heidegger, Renee Olstead and Hernando Chaves.

"Suicide prevention and crisis intervention training is crucial in raising awareness and equipping our community to address mental health crises," said Pineapple Support founder and CEO Leya Tanit. "This training will empower models and support staff to recognize signs of distress and intervene effectively. By fostering a supportive and informed community, we can save lives. Our priority isn't just about preventing tragedy; it's about strengthening our bonds and ensuring everyone feels supported. Together, we can create a safer, more resilient environment within the adult industry.

"With several recent losses, this event is more important than ever," Tanit added. "It's a time to come together, gain knowledge and support one another. This training will give you the tools to recognize warning signs, offer help and make a difference in someone's life. Whether you're a performer, producer, or part of any facet of the industry, your presence and participation are invaluable."

A rep added, “Those unable to attend in person can access useful information on the topic by visiting PineappleSupport.org. We encourage members of the industry to explore these resources and stay informed about how you can make a difference.”

The Suicide Prevention and Crisis Intervention Training Day takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. PDT, in West Hollywood. Morning and lunchtime refreshments will be provided. To reserve a place, email contact@pineapplesupport.org.
