ModelCentro, ICM in Deal to Offer Web Performers Free .XXX Domains

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Hosted paysite ModelCentro.com and .xxx operator ICM Registry have teamed up to offer web performers free .xxx domains.

The program struck between the companies offers verified models using the ModelCentro platform the ability to register one .xxx domain free of charge.

Another benefit for participating models will be promotion on the new Models.xxx directory, which was created to drive "quality" affiliate traffic to the model sites on the ModelCentro affiliate program, the companies said in the announcement made today.

"This deal with AdultCentro is just a more efficient way for us to get the performer names into the proper hands and a good strong industry partnership," ICM Vice President Stephen Winyard told XBIZ. "ModelCentro is an excellent platform that allows us to give models great .XXX names and makes it easy for models to develop their sites and immediately start earning revenues on those sites."

Winyard said that with the collaboration, ICM is discontinuing its own "Adult Performer Program" and will be working with ModelCentro as "the premier platform to get these .XXX names into model's hands."

Stan D'Aman, ModelCentro's CEO, said the collaboration with ICM "provides a great opportunity for our models to create a brand name for themselves."

"We're excited to bring top-level names to web performers on the ModelCentro platform," he said

Winyard said that  models using  .xxx domains will enjoy the benefits of ICM's "Domain Matching Program" that  gives .xxx holders opportunities to secure matching .xxx domain names in any of the new gTLDs that ICM plans to operate, including .porn, .adult and .sex. Those sites, with the exception of .sex, are planned for a rollout later this year.

Winyard also told XBIZ that ModelCentro also purchased Bukkake.xxx and that  another party bought Extreme.xxx and Public.xxx.

"Exact prices are confidential as per agreements, but all three combined went for over $150,000,"  he said.

"The premium deals are coming in nicely as a fairly steady clip and for pretty decent [money]," he said, nothing that he just completed a five-figure sum for Money.xxx to an unidentified operator.
