Q&A: Mariana Martix Shares Ambitious Dreams as a Creator

Q&A: Mariana Martix Shares Ambitious Dreams as a Creator

Before she transformed into Mariana Martix, a top-30 Pornhub creator and multifaceted entrepreneur, Angie Lorena was by no means certain about what her future might hold.

“I was a young woman with many aspirations and projects who was not clear about what I would be,” she recalls.

The content that my fans have the most affinity for is role-playing, real-life stories and fantasies that will never truly happen — but have definitely crossed our minds.

What she was certain about, however, was that she did not want to continue following the career path she was on, which had taken her from waitressing to becoming a merchandiser who sold furniture and clothing.

Martix began dancing in a nightclub in her native Colombia. There, she met a porn producer, who asked her to shoot a scene.

“It wasn’t that difficult to accept,” she remembers. “On the contrary, I saw a better-paid business opportunity that would allow me to have greater recognition. So I would say my first impulse to join adult was money and recognition.”

She wanted to create a Pornhub channel, but initially did not have a lot of knowledge about how to monetize herself optimally on the platform.

“But with the rise of content creation in the pandemic, I felt the need to make the most of my talent, which I had already started developing in the industry with the aid of several producers,” she shares. “So I decided to study the platform and dedicate myself to producing my own quality content.”

Among all the various platforms, she focused most heavily on Pornhub, as she found it to be a dynamic and simple interface for creators that allowed her to seize exposure and traffic.

“My fans can watch long videos with good resolution, the pages load fast, the site is interactive and it’s easy to use,” she notes. “I really like that Pornhub cares about the growth of its creators, motivating us by rewarding our achievements, sending us gifts and making us feel part of a community.”

Martix also makes sure to diversify her income and pursue a variety of revenue streams, while making note of which content sells the best on each channel.

“I sell my videos and photos on different platforms, and depending on the approach that I want to take, I monetize paid content through subscriptions and offer discounted content on sites like OnlyFans,” she explains. “I also create free content for Pornhub through which I earn views and free advertising.”

To that end, the content she releases on OnlyFans is different from what she produces for Pornhub, offering exclusive experiences for fans to enjoy on each.

“The content that my fans have the most affinity for is role-playing, real-life stories and fantasies that will never truly happen — but have definitely crossed our minds.”

Over the years, Martix has developed her brand, shaping a unique vibe, style and aesthetic.

“‘Mariana Martix’ is a multifaceted, young, outgoing and fresh brand personality that likes to innovate and I intend to expand it worldwide,” she declares. “I like to be spontaneous, playful, elegant and fun.”

When it comes to social media marketing, balancing fan interactions with directing traffic to content, Martix employs Instagram, Twitter and TikTok, even though the draconian and inconsistent nature of SFW platforms has occasionally meant losing an account to unfair censorship.

“I try to create different and exclusive content for each of them according to their policies but with the intention of promoting my content,” she says. “I think that the networks help me to gain greater distribution of my visuals and style.”

In addition to independently produced content, Martix has shot for a variety of studios ranging from Bang Bros to Team Skeet, applying lessons from being on set to her own content and vice versa.

“The experience that working with production companies gave me influenced me to focus on the creation of more professional-style scenes, with proper contracts, locations and a variety of stars,” she says. “I understood that in order to go far, I needed a work team that would drive the entire production. It is not easy to do everything alone.”

Of course, with all the demands of running a business and performing for fans, staying healthy physically and mentally can prove a challenge. Yet Martix makes sure to stay in shape.

“I am clear that there are many areas in life to juggle, so as much as I worry about work, I also take care of my spirit and my body,” she shares. “I train CrossFit daily, I eat healthy, I take pole dance classes or other activities that elevate me and I practice spirituality with myself, while staying close with my family. Everything complements each other.”

With such a solid foundation — as well as a growing online following of several hundred thousand fans, a personal website at MarianaMartix.com.co and a thriving presence on Pornhub, OnlyFans and ManyVids — she is eyeing an ambitious future in 2023 and beyond.

“So far this year, I have not stopped working for my dreams,” she says. “I make my independent content, but I allow myself to work with production companies. The biggest dream I had professionally was to work for Brazzers and this May, it came true.

“I got four nominations at the Pornhub Awards and now you give me the opportunity to be the Creator of the Month and tell a little about who I am,” Martix concludes. “So I will continue fulfilling my ambitions for several projects this year, working on the growth of my brand and on expanding not only as a content creator, but as an entrepreneur.”
