Benefits of Creating NFT Content

NFTs are a hot topic among adult creators since they present an exciting way to monetize new content, or even older material shelved long ago.

Uploading a media file to the blockchain and telling fans they can own a one-of-a-kind collectible based on crypto transactions sounds amazing, but how does it compare with simply uploading a clip to your favorite premium social site?

One of the biggest struggles for content creators is the constant battle against piracy.

Let’s explore the differences between traditional ways of selling sexy videos versus harnessing “Web 3.0,” aka Web3, which many envision as the future: a decentralized internet no longer ruled by a handful of Big Tech players.

NO MIDDLEMAN MEANS MORE RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY

In a world of traditional content creation, we’re obligated to follow the rules set by platforms. Likewise, the platforms themselves must adjust their rules to the current banking climate since they rely on payment processors in order to operate. They’re also privately run and can decide to remove any creator from their platform if they feel like it. That often means we creators must adjust to rules and regulations created by people totally unfamiliar or out of touch with our industry. Those rules can be extremely vague and can block us from creating content that’s highly prized and often requested by our customer base. This is very harmful to our business, especially for niche creators.

On the blockchain side of the fence, beyond the meddlesome grasp of credit cards and puritanical banks, you have more creative freedom. Not only can you put content directly on the blockchain in addition to traditional platforms, but it also invites new traffic sources in the form of crypto, NFT and Web3 fans eager to buy XXX blockchain content. You can even double dip, converting that clip you sold on your favorite premium social media site to a unique NFT, thereby accelerating your profits with a so-called “unlockable” NFT.

HOW NFTS ENHANCE DATA AND PIRACY PROTECTION

One of the biggest struggles for content creators is the constant battle against piracy. Thieves stealing our content makes it less profitable. That often leads to lowering production costs, which is reflected in overall content quality. However, selling content via blockchain technology sidesteps this problem, since you can declare who the actual owner of a collectible is, on the off chance a mimic tries to upload their own copied file and claim it’s the real deal.

Plus, there are many protocols in place to stop piracy. Creator-centric Web3 platforms have systems to detect stolen content to prevent its devaluation. In addition, using blockchain to create NFTs allows you to receive royalties without a platform or payment gateway taking a cut of the action, since they’re connected directly to your wallet as the original creator.

IRREVERSIBLE TRANSACTIONS EQUALS NO MORE CHARGEBACKS

Every transaction on the blockchain is registered and traceable, but it’s also not reversible. This means our customers can see that we’ve received the payment but can’t back away or change their minds once it’s completed. This saves us from dealing with chargebacks, which are a well-known nightmare in our industry and have been the downfall for many creators and platforms in the past. All transactions are anonymous and tracked only by the sender and receiver using a “hash code” which is unique for every transaction.

NEW CREATIVE OUTLET OR MARKETING NIGHTMARE?

One last and very important aspect that differentiates NFTs from typical porn content is that you canupload a variety of mediums when attaching a media file to the blockchain. This can be anything from 3D animation to generative art, collectibles, PFPs and avatars. So while blockchain content may initially seem complicated or confusing, it opens up so many possibilities that can crystallize your personality and brand into a highly monetizable form.

The sky is truly the limit and many platforms are helping new creators take their first steps in NFT creation. For instance, there are Telegram groups dedicated to individual adult-focused projects, full of very talented graphic designers happily offering their skills to create new NFT collections.

The more personal, unique and meaningful your collectibles are, the better you can market them as standout products in a sea of other creations. Also, unlike traditional porn, NFTs often sell for a higher premium. That’s because NFTs can be traded and sold from fan to fan once you sell the first iteration, so some collectors seek to buy pieces that will be valuable assets in the future. Other collectors merely want artistically pleasing fare they can showcase as part of their quirky collection in their digital wallets.

As you can see, besides unlocking creative freedom, NFTs allow us to become very personal with our customers, open up new avenues via the sheer variety of mediums and deliver a near-limitless stream of royalties. If that sounds appealing, then give it a test drive.
