Batts, Bad Seed Party for ‘Voluptuous Life’ Release

LOS ANGELES — Photographer and adult filmmaker Carlos Batts, along with Adam and Eve alt imprint Bad Seed, will host a party celebrating the release of “The Voluptuous Life,” Batts’ homage to the life of April Flores, also known as model and adult performer Fatty D.

The party is scheduled for Nov. 30 at Stage B, located at 1051 N. Cole St. in Hollywood, Calif. DJs Matter and Jazzo will be spinning.

The New York Times said, “Carlos Batts' documentary ‘Voluptuous Life’ unflinchingly presents Flores' hedonistic lifestyle, and comments on how her exploits may inspire women to shed the negative feelings they have about their own bodies.”

Batts’ photo work often documents fetish, hipster and post-modern themes. “American Gothic” is by Batts and co-author L.A. noir John Gilmore. “Crazy Sexy Hollywood” and “Wild Skin” are also books of Batts' photography work.

Flores has appeared in “Belladonna’s Evil Pink 2” and also on the cover of Big Butts magazine. As the real-life partner of Batts, “Voluptuous Life” follows Flores’ erotic experience form coast to coast.

The soundtrack for the movie includes underground electronica bands hustlePUNCH, LABTEKWON, DHUNDEE, Ryan Kinetic and BLACKSTATIC WHITESOUND.
