'Spread the Love' Party Puts Emphasis on Industry Unity

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Thursday night’s “Spread the Love: Help Stop Cyberbullying” party was more than just your average Hollywood get together. It was a charity event that sought to empower and unify the adult business.

An array of adult stars — Cali Carter, Lauren Phillips, Siousxie Q, Riley Reyes, Natalie Mars, Lucky Starr, Sunny Lane, Lexi Lore and Chris Cock, among others — made their way to Hollywood’s Station 1640 to mingle with adult producers and civilians in a benefit to help support APAC and the EndCyberBullying.org group.

EndCyberBullying.org for the past seven years has provided counseling and other compassionate services, along with prevention tips, for those affected by cyberbullying.

The issue of cyberbullying was put in the spotlight in the adult entertainment business this past winter. While many say there always has been a stigma working in porn, performers hint that these days social media has raised the stakes.

Phillips said there were four goals with the “Spread the Love” party — to rally community support, help stop blame and stigma, bring awareness of cyberbullying to public figures and spread love of and support for one another.

“This is a very important topic, and I want to do whatever I can to keep people talking about it and try to help force change,” Phillips said. “We all deserve to be treated with respect and shouldn’t need to fear checking our Twitter feed in the morning because people are attacking us.”

At the New York subway-themed Station 1640, which is located at Cahuenga and Hollywood boulevards, attendees grooved to the DJ's toons and all had a chance to be captured by a number of industry photographers as they clicked away on the dance floor and in front of a step-and-repeat banner inside the club.

Supporting sponsors to the party included XBIZ, Clips4Sale, Kink.com, ATMLA, The Rub PR, Lydia Dupra, Grooby, Spiegler Girls, Nexxxt Level Talent Agency and 1amUSA.
