A federal bankruptcy judge on Thursday found former Girls Gone Wild mogul Joe Francis in civil contempt, imposing reimbursement of more than $40,000 in attorneys fees to a trustee and ordering $5,000-per-day sanctions for not returning two company vehicles.
The attorney representing Joe Francis said today that former porn mogul shouldn't be sanctioned on contempt charges after he allegedly disregarded a preliminary injunction after he entered the offices of Girls Gone Wild and hasn't returned two company vehicles to a bankruptcy trustee.
A U.S. bankruptcy court this evening approved an emergency motion by the trustee overseeing the Chapter 11 filing of several Girls Gone Wild companies to review emails stored on computers and servers in its offices.
