Purple Dollars Debuts Stories for Women

SYDNEY – Affiliate program Purple Dollars and its flagship site FortheGirls.com have announced the addition of Free Hosted Illustrated Stories (FHIS) for the heterosexual women’s erotica site.

“We know that female surfers adore sex stories,” Purple Dollars co-founder Karen Jackson said. “Large numbers of women have graduated from romance novels to erotic fiction, and now they’re looking for it online.”

Jackson stressed the distinction between a “4women” site and a gay male site, adding that gay sites often masquerade as 4women sites, leaving visitors confused and distrustful. She cited last year’s Neilsen NetRatings report that women generated one third of the traffic on porn sites.

“We do our best to ensure the female point of view is given priority,” Jackson wrote on FortheGirls.com. “Everything is geared towards female pleasure and female fantasy. In a practical sense it means we create our own content that reflects that female viewpoint, and it also means that we present existing photos, videos and movies according to what turns us on and what we feel our members would enjoy.”

The FHIS galleries, since they are illustrated, can be used in the same way as thumbnail galleries, Jackson said, and she envisions using them as linklist entries or additional story content on Purple Dollars; For Women Portal sites. “It really is a great way to encourage female surfers to explore women’s erotica,” she said.

FortheGirls functions as an e-zine, offering jokes and horoscopes along with hosted galleries ranging from solo male performers to hardcore couples’ sex. The FHIS are culled from partner sites such as Wet Words and Written Temptations.
