The new system automates the hardlink trading process by allowing webmasters to sign up for an account and enter in the URLs they would like to do trades with; including such info as age of site, PR, and anchor text. At that point the trades enter a queue and are reviewed. Then, the webmaster is sent cut and paste HTML to put on his page and a confirmation link.
After the HTML has been added and the confirmation link has been clicked, the trade goes live and a bot polices the trades weekly to ensure the links have been maintained.
