Penis Pill Pusher Pleads Guilty

OXFORD, Miss. — A Clarksdale, Miss., woman pleaded guilty to wire fraud this week in connection with a scheme that federal prosecutors say fraudulently duped almost 5,000 consumers into buying penis-growth and breast-enhancement pills.

Angela De’Mere Lane, 44, will serve three years in prison and be required to pay $1.8 million in restitution as part of a plea agreement, but could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for the matter.

Prosecutors say Lane and her husband, Steven, operated three different mail-order businesses out of their home that sold herbal supplements called Erdic, Phoenaz and Agagin.

Erdic and Phoenaz both promised to permenantly increase a woman’s bra cup size. Agagin promised to increase the “size and girth of male penises,” as well as increasing the male libido.

According to prosecutors, over their three years of operation, the pair had overall sales of about $6 million, due partially to refusing to make refunds or cancel orders.

“Lane and others would sell the merchandise through radio advertisements and other venues, making representations about the product which [they] knew to be untrue or for which [she] had reckless disregard as to the truth about the ability of the supplements to enhance female breasts and male penises,” stated the grand jury indictment against Lane.

Lane’s husband pleaded guilty to similar charges in early February and is scheduled to be sentenced on March 31.
