Attendance at the live shows, which began three years ago, is expected to reach somewhere between 700 to 800 users this coming Thursday when Flirt 4 Free hosts Tristian Adonis and Corbin, stars of the upcoming Falcon film “The Men of Taking Flight,” Clayman said.
“Nobody puts out quality gay adult material better than Falcon,” said Clayman. "The quality and caliber of their talent, combined with our technology really makes it an unsurpassed mix.”
Flirt 4 Free live shows operate by having members join one of the website’s chat rooms, where they are greeted with high-quality streaming video of the show’s stars. Users can then type suggestions or requests to the stars.
“You type to them, you can hear everything that they’re saying or doing. This really takes things to the highest level of interactivity. It makes for an unbelievable experience,” Clayman said.
The popularity of Flirt 4 Free’s feature shows stem from technology that allows users to actually interact with the performers during the shows, according to Clayman.
“Movies are great to watch, but nothing’s better than live,” said Clayman. “When users can go one-on-one with a performer, that’s really the ultimate experience. Most people never get the chance to help direct a show.”
The increase in Flirt 4 Free’s popularity also coincides with the rising popularity of subscription video services on the Internet. According to a recently released study by Internet research firm In-Stat/MDR, the market for consumer-oriented video subscription services is expected to expand to more than $4.6 billion by 2008.
Flirt 4 Free offers one gay feature show per month. It also hosts several female feature shows and a 24-hour-a-day chat service with both male and female models. Previous feature show performers include Mark Wolff, Brad Benton, Tera Patrick and Jenna Jameson.
