Unreal Video Debuts With Unique Titles

LOS ANGELES – The newest content provider on the block is set to make its debut with more than 400 titles never before seen on the Internet, said Jim Henley, director of business development for entertainment distribution firm DreamTank, in an exclusive interview with XBiz.

UnrealVideo.com, based out of a $9 million data center in downtown Los Angeles, will provide content for webmasters as well as encode and distribute video for streaming and broadcast purposes, according to Henley.

“We’ve been doing a lot of the video encoding for Hustler, Penthouse and many other websites,” Henley said. “We just felt that the timing was right to get into content providing on our own. It was just becoming so broad, we figured that, since we do it well, we might as well get into it.”

The company’s streaming video library includes work from GM Video, Stoney Curtis and Lethal Hardcore.

Unreal Video will also provide still gallery content from the Falcon library.

Among the titles owned by Unreal Video, more than three hundred are from the library of George Martin, the self-proclaimed “King of Amateur Porn.”

“He really is the originator of the reality genre, long before Girls Gone Wild was even on the scene,” Henley said. “He was shooting at all of these different locations, everything from Lake Havasu and Mardi Gras, to biker rallies and places down in Mexico.”

“With the trends in the market right now, with the appetite for reality, this is something that we really think is going to take off in a big way,” Henley continued.

“CyberAge has been doing some beta testing with it and seems to be very happy with it,” Henley said.

Content packages start at $99 and include a ten gigabyte transfer. Individual modules can also be purchased by gigabyte of bandwidth.
