Eroticy, Booble Partner Up to Gain Share

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Online adult search engine Booble.com is pairing with Eroticy.com in a deal that both companies say will help capture bigger shares of the adult online market.

“We’re giving Eroticy anchor tenancy,” Booble owner Bob Smart told XBiz. “We think that Eroticy is one of the most unique websites because they combine adult content with personals, and they have a high conversion rate.”

The deal integrates Booble's search engine within Eroticy and Booble is allowing Eroticy top placement on its personals tab of its homepage, the companies said.

“Eroticy has proven to be a leader in the online adult personal market,” Eroticy spokeswoman Michelle Pendenza told XBiz. “And Booble complements our site.”

Pendoza said Eroticy, which also has thousands of streaming videos, has big business reaching straight males, but that its gay and lesbian market is strong, followed by S&M and bondage.

“It’s our aim to provide the best means for our members to explore their sexuality,” Pendoza said.

Both Smart and Pendoza said no money changed hands with the deal.

Clearwater, Fla.-based Eroticy was founded in 1998 and has more than 2 million members.

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Booble was launched in January as an adult search engine that parodies Google.

With a reported 500,000 visitors daily, Smart says legal problems with Google have slowed to a trickle. Earlier this year, Google issued legal warnings to Booble over intellectual property issues for the look-alike site.

“I think we’re both operating under the white flag of truce,” Smart said. “We’re obviously not going after their customer base.”

Booble recently launched Horndog.com earlier this month, and Smart said that more such projects are underway.

“We’re building a network of humor,” said Smart, who also operates SirRodney.com.
