ClickCash Turns 18, Celebrates Pioneering History

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Calling itself “the first-ever online adult affiliate program,” ClickCash has announced the anniversary of its 18th year in business.

According to the company, on this day in 1996, ClickCash.com opened the door to all webmasters and work-from-home entrepreneurs interested in making money in the burgeoning adult website scene by paying webmasters two cents per click for each visitor they referred to their websites. Affiliates took part to popularize some of the web’s earliest adult brands, including FastPorn and Amateur Hardcore.

By 1998, affiliate payouts had increased to $40 per free signup to iFriends, the adult cam site, with affiliates who jumped at the opportunity reportedly enjoying conversion rates of 1 in 20 and better.

“There wasn’t a framework for Internet users to promote adult websites 18 years ago. There wasn’t anything that could scale and be profitable. So we thought hard about it, and then we built it,” says Stacy Michelle, Affiliate Relations Manager. “ClickCash set the standard by providing weekly payments, hosted niche banners, and promos featuring live sex.”

In 2010, ClickCash launched a URL shortener to pay affiliates who share content through social media. That same year ClickCash introduced a pay per email program to accompany its $200 PPS and a 35 percent lifetime revenue sharing programs.

Today, ClickCash celebrates 18 years of affiliate marketing with over a quarter-million registered affiliates, and offers nearly 10,000 promotional banners, full-page ads and links.

To date, ClickCash claims to have generated more than one billion dollars in revenue for its webmasters and affiliates, with more than 938 consecutive uninterrupted weekly payments to affiliates — and the promise of continued future success.
