LiveReviews Offers Innovative Approach

LOS ANGELES — LiveReviews.com has announced the launch of its free, video-based adult website review site.

According to the company, by visiting several thousand sites, and using video to record the full process of joining, as well as the site's members area, LiveReviews.com became the first review site to provide a video preview of what new members can expect.

Using a unique credit card for each site, LiveReviews.com says it is able to determine what sites add hidden charges to the customer's credit card and that this is the only trustworthy way to accurately review membership websites.

"It's no secret that the online adult entertainment industry has been losing sales," said a LiveReviews.com spokesperson. "Many are quick to blame easy online access to free content, but another big contributing factor to the rapid decline in sales, is that over the years many adult sites have engaged in extremely deceptive billing practices, and once a consumer has been cheated, it is unlikely they will ever join another site again."

For many consumers, free sites remain an obvious option for a quick porn fix, but they are not without their problems, says the spokesperson.

"Free content sites, in most cases, feature outdated content, and when it comes to adult content, consumers demand new material," the spokesperson stated. "What's more, visitors have become aware that free sites frequently install harmful viruses on their computers, therefore free content alone isn't the only reason for the decline in sales."

According to the company, in the past few years, many so-called 'adult review' sites have surfaced, but their ratings may not have always been reliable.

"In many cases these sites based their ratings on how much commission they were getting paid," the rep opined. "In addition, a text-based review is simply one person's opinion. They never tested the individual sites by using real credit cards and email addresses, so they weren't truly able to report the consumer experience."

"These sites also didn't filter their user reviews," the rep added, saying that many of the positive reviews are written by the company themselves, while the negative reviews were written by their competition.

LiveReviews.com also informs the consumer of any hidden check boxes that need to be unchecked in order to avoid accruing potentially hundreds of dollars in additional monthly charges. A unique email address is used for testing each site, and in turn LiveReviews.com posts a screenshot of how the email inbox looked a few weeks after joining a site.
