'Drone Porn' Film Sparks Mainstream Buzz

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — It was only a mater of time before flying drones were used to shoot porn. Enter “Drone Boning,” an artsy aerial view film shot in what’s reportedly outside of the San Francisco area that’s causing considerable mainstream buzz.

Produced by Brooklyn, New York-based Ghost & Cow Films, the NSFW film is being touted as the first-ever porn movie to use drones.

Although the sex appears to be hardcore, there’s not much of it, and the movie relies instead on a heavy dose of sweeping scenery and a New Age-like soundtrack that’s more sleepy than stimulating.

The creators — Brandon LaGanke and John Carlucci — both have ad agency backgrounds and apparently used the softer approach in order to titillate while at the same time have the film be acceptable to the growing porn-friendly public.

“The plan was to take beautiful landscapes and just put people fucking in them,” one of the filmmakers told New York Magazine.

And fuck they do. But the scenes of straight, gay and lesbian couples having sex from a distance elicit more of a “Where’s Waldo” effect than heat. LaGanke told Vice.com that the team wanted to explore the idea of “make porn, not war.”

But he admitted, "I would never shoot a real porn like this. If you can't masturbate to it, man, it's not a good pornography film."

The film can be seen on the filmmakers' website along with stills and BTS photos.
