SoCal Licensing Signs Rock Star Ent., SkinworXXX to Broadcast, Licensing Deal
LOS ANGELES — SoCal Licensing has announced an exclusive agreement with Rock Star Entertainment to represent the studio in all worldwide broadcast and licensing deals.
Rock Star Entertainment is the brainchild of David Lord and Joshua, both veteran producer/directors. In 2012 Lord and Joshua signed an exclusive production and DVD distribution agreement with Adam & Eve.
The agreement is for Rock Star Entertainment to be Adam & Eve's primary source for producing content for the label.
“I have been directing for Adam & Eve for a good many years, now I own what we are doing together," Lord said.
He and Joshua kicked off their alliance with "Adam & Eve: Superstars" and the third installment of the hit series "Deviance." "D3viance" won the 2013 XBIZ Award for Best All-Sex Release.
Rock Star's most recent release is "Trashy," which has just arrived in retail stores and is proving to be one of the most requested films from So Cal Licensing’s broadcast and lodging customers.
D3viance features Adam & Eve contract stars Teagan Presley and Alexis Texas.
Jim Crawford, president of SoCal Licensing, remarked, "Joshua and I immediately realized that we had a similar vision in where we see our industry heading and the importance and urgency of maximizing the ancillary revenue streams available in the broadcast and VOD arenas. To be able to add another studio of this caliber to our group of studios is something we are quite excited about.
"David Lord and I go back many years; as a matter of fact David is one of my closest friends. I’m glad to be working with him again.”
Joshua, for his part, is excited to have SoCal Licensing backing his movies. "David Lord and I truly feel we have captured lightning in a bottle with 'Superstars,'" he said. "Teagan and I are constantly bombarded with requests for a new 'Deviance' film, so what better way to get things steamrolling than to release both of these films, as well as all our others through our two amazing partners, Adam & Eve for DVD distribution and SoCal Licensing for our broadcast and digital distribution.”
Lord added, “We've seen what Jim Crawford has done for the other studios he represents; so quite frankly, it was a no brainer to go with SCL."
