AEBN Streams Smash's 'Friends and Family 2' Before Street Date

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — AEBN began streaming Smash Pictures' new film, "Friends and Family 2" one month before its April 28 DVD release date, continuing the latest in a series of pre-street exclusives between the two companies.

The film is Smash's follow-up based on the true life story of teen starlets Tristyn Kennedy and Ashlynn Leigh and the tale of two families.

"This isn't your typical adult film. We went all out in re-enacting Tristyn and Ashlynn's sexual escapades already explored in their young lives. Adding some family twist brings out some true perversions for all to enjoy," said Stuart Wall, Smash vice president.

Adult star Evan Stone leads the cast that includes Rayveness, Dane Cross, Mark Davis, Darryl Hannah and others embroiled in a mixed-bag of sexual trysts.

AEBN said the model of releasing films to VOD before DVD has been profitable for the studio, not only through online sales, but also by building excitement and positive buzz that help bolster DVD release performance.

"'Friends and Family' was a hit, and its sequel promises to be another. One of the things that have made these films so appealing to our customers is the way they manage to bring some of men's naughtiest fantasies to life, thanks to the all-star cast and great direction by the legendary Jim Powers," said Jerry Anders, AEBN's vice president of sales and marketing.

He added, "The blend of new talent with established stars brings an exciting depth to the scenes that you don't often see."
