Sportsheets Nominated for 3 StorErotica Awards

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Sportsheets has received three nominations for the upcoming 2014 StorErotica Awards scheduled July 13 during the ANME Founders Show in Burbank, Calif.

The manufacturer swept three categories — Novelty Company of the Year, Fetish Company of the Year and Retail Education of the Year — and has been recognized for excellence in production manufacturing, development, promotion and in-store training campaigns.

According to the company, Novelty Company of the Year is reserved for companies making strides in the sex toy market, and this year Sportsheets put forth special effort to augment its current best-selling lines with more must-have vibes and accessories. Among the new items were debuts from the Sex In the Shower series, including a waterproof G-spot vibe and a soft masturbator sleeve made for couples to enjoy alongside their favorite other shower-safe sex tools.

Sportsheets also received a Fetish Company of the Year nomination after a year expanding the Sex & Mischief and Sportsheets Premium collections with new styles. Featuring new lace and satin accented restraints, studded leather, and corset-style harnesses, a new series of eight floggers and whips featuring both cowhide leather and vegan leather options was showcased with a special feature in Cosmopolitan magazine at the start of the year.

A new category, Retail Education of the Year gives recognition to manufacturers whose attention to in-store support, training and information has facilitated increased sales and more educated buying decisions. Highlighting its Keeping Couples Connected campaign, StorErotica has nominated Sportsheets for its ongoing efforts to support their retail partners.

“It’s an honor to be named in these important categories, as our team has worked tirelessly this year to develop our brands’ presences both in stores and in consumers’ bedrooms,” Sportsheets founder and CEO Tom Stewart said. “It’s wonderful to know that the industry has noticed and recognized our efforts – especially in the retail education realm — and we look forward to celebrating with our friends and colleagues in July!”
