A bill that would have made it illegal to watch adult videos while cruising the state's highways was shot down by the California State Assembly. However, the assemblyman who introduced the bill said he plans to push the issue, adding, “When you display [porn] where people can see it while they're driving, that's inappropriate.”

Vivid Entertainment contract starlet Tera Patrick is reportedly suing a Los Angeles-area escort agency for using her image in its advertising without her permission. Copy beneath the ad read, “Tera Patrick available for in/out call, call me direct.” Patrick, however, insists she has no affiliation with the agency and does not do escort work.

A federal grand jury has returned a 23-count indictment against Denver-based adult retailer Edward Joseph Wedelstedt, his wholly owned adult retail chain, Goalie Entertainment Holdings Inc., and six others on racketeering, obscenity and tax charges. Prosecutors are seeking to seize at least $48 million in assets related to the case.

A man who used his cell phone to take “upskirt” photos of a 13-year-old girl was sentenced on March 8 to three years’ probation. The girl’s mother caught Daniel Reinker snapping the photos at a grocery store. Meanwhile, a New York man was the first to be convicted of a felony under that state's new voyeur law.
