Gay Performer Marcus Allen Arrested for Murder

DENVER — Timothy J. Boham, known to the adult industry as gay porn star Marcus Allen, has been arrested for the murder of a wealthy Denver businessman, police say.

Boham is currently in custody of the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol in Lukeville, Ariz., where officers spotted him while he loitered outside the inspection facility on the U.S. side of the border. Under questioning, he admitted that he was being sought on a murder warrant. Arrangements for his return to Colorado currently are being discussed.

The victim, John P. Kelso, 43, was discovered in his home in the Congress Park section of Denver by his housekeeper on Monday morning, but detectives said they believe he’d been killed over the weekend.

“It appears at this time that the victim and the suspect were acquainted with each other,” Denver police spokeswoman Virginia Quinones told the Rocky Mountain News.

Boham used the stage name Marcus Allen in several gay-themed movies in 2004 and 2005. His work for studios like Falcon, Hot House and Rascal included the titles “Little Big League,” “Through the Woods” and “Ripe.”

Detectives issued a warrant for Boham for investigation of first-degree murder.

Kelso was successful in the debt-buying industry, having co-founded Professional Recovery Systems in 1996. A few years later, he created an affiliated company, Professional Recovery Systems Assets, and assumed the title of president.

Kelso had a criminal record that spans 15 years, and filed for bankruptcy several times, according to public records.
