FDA Adds Sex Plus, Zoom-Zooma-Zoom to Blacklist

WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration today issued more warnings over penis pills marketed as organic but that include ingredients used in prescription drugs Viagra and Cialis.

In the past five weeks, regulators have blacklisted eight penis pills, including the latest two — Zoom-Zooma-Zoom and Sex Plus.

Today, the FDA warned about Zoom-Zooma-Zoom, which was found to contain sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. The government also warned about Sex Plus, which was found to have the Viagra ingredient, as well as various amounts of tadalafil, the active ingredient used in Cialis.

Zoom-Zooma-Zoom and Sex Plus are both marketed as 100 percent herbal.

Zoom-Zooma-Zoom is sold at various retail stores and online, including AmrtamLifeCare.com; Sex Plus is sold online.

Other penis pills blacklisted in the past five weeks include Love Rider, Ninja Mojo, AFFIRM XL, Stiff Days, Rock-It Man and Libido Sexual Enhancer.

"Consumers should stop using this product immediately and throw it away; consumers who have experienced any negative side effects should consult a health care professional as soon as possible," the FDA says.

"Sildenafil and tadalafil may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates."
