This week's Tech Watch brings news about Apple's iPhone, as well as tips on how to better check email, research tricky subjects and spend that disposable income.

• Let's start with iPhone news: Tech blog Gizmodo has listed all of its favorite iPhone applications, and Apple reportedly has a red iPhone model in the works for the holiday season.

• Huge fans of the microblogging website Twitter.com may find some fun over at the unfortunately named Tweenky.com, currently in beta-testing.

• No less than Dr. Dre has lent his name to these noise-canceling headphones.

• Medical professionals are collaborating on the new MedPedia, which should be great for hypochonriacs everywhere.

• Gaming afficionados will want to check out Zynga.com.

• Adult event planners who need to sell tickets online now have TicketLeap.com, which lets anyone sell tickets. EventBrite.com also provides party-planning services online.

• Any self-respecting geek should be enticed by this laser-powered blackboard.

• Yahoo has released a new desktop email program called Zimbra.

• Add Piczo.com to the zillion social-networking websites out there, but it's got 10 million users and growing.

• Addicted to shopping? TheFind.com seeks to give all shoppers a fun experience online.

• A new plasma scalpel may help surgeons deliver better operations with less mess.

• File this under "Geekgasm": A "Star Wars" action-figure chess set.

• Some enterprising Lego enthusiasts have built all of the facilities for the Beijing Olympics in Lego.

• For webmasters who swear by Firefox, MySQL and other open-source solutions, the OpenWeb Foundation is looking for new members.

• Debate enthusiasts should enjoy OpposingViews.com, which assembles experts from all quarters to talk about big issues.

• Thank goodness. There's finally an air-conditioned keyboard for hard workers with hot wrists.

• For adult industry professionals who have lots — and lots — of disposable income, here's a killer new yacht.

• Last, congratulations to Rock Port, Mo., the first American city to be powered entirely by wind.
