CyberSocket Award Noms Are Now Open

LOS ANGELES — Nominations are now open for the 11th annual Cybersocket Web Awards, which will be held in conjunction with XBIZ LA 2011 slated for Feb. 7-9.

The Cybersocket Web Awards honors the best in GLBT online adult entertainment.

“There are a lot of older, established sites that need recognition,” Cybersocket co-founder Morgan Sommer told XBIZ.

“We’re looking forward to webmasters and surfers nominating sites that they think should be recognized.”

Each year, outstanding websites are recognized for their achievements in both the Surfers Choice and Industry Choice categories.

This year's show will be free and open to the public. Industry leaders, executives, porn stars and celebrities will be out in full force to join Cybersocket in recognizing and rewarding the industry's achievements.

“We feel that it is essential to honor these individuals and companies as being technological entrepreneurs, important agents of free expression and cultural change, and innovators in queer online media and entertainment,” the company said.

The Cybersocket Awards show kicks off XBIZ LA 2011, the industry’s leading digital media trade event to be held at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.

Online nominations for both the surfer and webmaster categories is now open and close Sept. 30.
