EGPA Web Awards Name Best of Gay Online

BERLIN — Organizers of the EGPA Web Awards have announced their inaugural slate of winners.

Hot House Entertainment earned Best Video Company Site, while Badpuppy won Best Non-European Site and Best Megasite. Francesco D’Macho was cited for Best Porn Star Site.

Dozens of nominees in 26 categories were announced in June. The EGPA Web Awards are administered by EGPA Ltd., which also produces the European Gay Porn Awards.

This is the first year organizers branched out into web categories. Like its sister show, the EGPA Web Awards focuses primarily on European entities.

Additional winners include Pitbull Productions’ marquee star Tiger Tyson, whose website won the award for Best Black/Latin Site.

Rentboy.com took home Best Escort Site, while Best Amateur site went to CollegeDudes247.com. The Best Tube Site winner was GayTube.com.

JustUsBoys.com won several awards: Best Community Site and Best Review Site.

Another double-award winner was Hot Desert Knights, whose HDKRaw.com and HDKMen.com earned Best New Site and Best Stud Site honors, respectively.

Organizers have canceled plans to stage an awards ceremony that was to coincide with the Venus Erotic Expo in Berlin, being held October 16-19.

“Unfortunately, the economic climate being as it is, we never did secure the sponsorship that would’ve transformed this idea into something bigger and better,” an EPGA representative said.

“Nevertheless, the concept is now well and truly established, and we feel quite sure that we can develop the idea — in conjunction with our studio awards — into the sort of spectacular occasion that we believe European gay porn deserves.”
