LONDON — On the heels of Monday’s London premiere of the much anticipated movie version of “Sex in the City,” U.K.-based online adult retailer LoveHoney is offering consumer a half price deal on the Mr. Big Rabbit vibrator.

Moviegoers that register at the LoveHoney website can send a text picture of their ticket stub to the company, enabling them to purchase the vibrator at 50 percent off the regular price. The sale price translates from British pounds to a little less than $30 U.S.

“Sex in the City” premiered in London on Monday with a gala event attended by the stars of the movie. The movie will open in theaters in the U.K. on May 28.

The original HBO TV series is often credited with the popularization of Rabbit-style vibrators (and sex toys overall) when, in the show’s first season, Miranda (played by Cynthia Nixon) introduced the Jack Rabbit Pearl vibrator to another character.

The new version of the Rabbit-style vibrator introduced by Love Honey is named for main character Carrie Bradshaw’s love interest, Mr. Big. Described as “tall, dark and big,” the vibrator features extra long rabbit ears for clitoral stimulation, gyrating pearls and push button controls, as well as a pink satin “Carrie” bag.

The original Rabbit vibrator featured in the TV series is also available for sale at the LoveHoney website.
