The website’s chief reviewer, Pvt. Hudson, wrote the article. He said the list is not so much about quality but more about a site’s distinguishing or outstanding features.

"I wanted to pick sites that distinguished themselves in some way by pioneering original or controversial or downright ridiculous," Hudson said. "Sites that had something that makes them stand out from the crowd. For instance, although it may not be one of the best around, Freaks Of Cock has been widely talked about."

The site’s chief editor, Misty, also announced a more consistent output of reviews, interviews and other specialist features.
