IBill Launches Blog

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – Third-party processor iBill and its parent company, Interactive Brand Development, entered the blogsphere this week with the unveiling of G Spot News, a blog aimed at increasing traffic for adult webmaster clients.

Company President Gary Spaniak Jr. told XBiz that the blog uses iBill’s double opt-in email database of 30 million addresses to deliver G Spot, increasing traffic to those companies featured on the blog and giving clients an added bonus.

Offered as a free service, once G Spot’s design is completed, Spaniak said, the blog will feature around 60 company links on its homepage and will eventually expand into multiple pages. The site will be maintained on a day-to-day basis by Jodi Catterson.

“It’s just a way to give them [webmasters] something else that other billing companies aren’t giving them,” Spaniak told XBiz. “It’s something we do to support webmasters who do business with us.”

In addition to erotica entries and a Joke of the Day, G Spot features a news section that currently touts XTV, in which iBill parent IBD has minority ownership. Formerly known as XTV, a subscription-based pay TV service that allows access to streaming channels and interactive video products, the Internet-based VOD company recently was sold to Radium Ventures, canceling the XTV company name but continuing with the same set-top box network that it shares with mainstream channels such as Torque Sports, WebWorld TV and MusicVault TV.

IBill parent company IBD also owns a 34.7 percent interest in Penthouse Media Group, publisher of Penthouse Magazine and brainchild of Bob Guccione. Penthouse Media Group is currently operated by Marc Bell Capital Partners.
