"We're very happy to sign up with AEBN," Girlfriends Films president Dan O'Connell told XBIZ. "This is only the second VOD company we have signed with, although we've gotten a lot of requests. I think that VOD and cable will open up the market for us. It's amazing to me how many people haven't heard of Girlfriends Films yet and are just finding us now. By adding AEBN to our VOD presence, we're going to see a lot more interest in Girlfriends Films.

"I think VOD is the medium of the future. We'll always have DVDs and stuff like that, but the real growth will be in VOD."

Girlfriends Films recently celebrated its 100th release, "Imperfect Angels," and is known for its realistic all-girl content, including the dramatic cross-series stories set in the fictional community of Thornhill, which can be found in the series "Girls in White," "Unnatural Daughter," "Lesbian Psychotherapists," and "Twisted Passions." Other series from the company include "Women Seeking Women," "Lesbian Triangles," "Lesbian Seductions" and "Dressing Room Lingerie."

"I am seeing more and more the numbers that lesbian as a category is growing. So we are very pleased to have Girlfriends Films added to our library," AEBN senior content executive Erin Burns said. "They have proven to be a solid company so we look forward to working with them. Their lines stand out and have been recognized for quality and attention to detail."

Girlfriends Films also is collaborating with AEBN for an industry party in conjunction with adult networking site xPeeps on June 5 at Blue Moon Nights in North Hollywood, Calif. Doors and red carpet arrivals begin at 9 p.m. Blue Moon Nights is located at 4712 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood, Calif.
