NEW YORK – Adult product retailer Babeland opens its third New York store Tuesday.

The store is located at 462 Bergen St. in Park Slope.

It will be Brooklyn’s first women-friendly boutique retailer of sex toys and accessories.

“I’ve lived in the neighborhood for more than 10 years and I’m thrilled to bring our mission and spirit to the place I call home,” Babeland co-founder Claire Cavanah told XBIZ. “We’ve had a warm welcome already and lots of support and outreach."

A grand opening party has been set for Sunday, June 15.

In addition, the retailer is launching a series of events called “Sexy Mom.” This monthly series will address issues relating to desire, body image, making time for sex, and what it means to be a sex-positive family.

The first event will be held on Tuesday, June 24.

Featured at the event will be Esther Blum, author of “Eat, Drink and Be Gorgeous: A Nutritionist's Guide to Living Well While Living It Up.” Blum will be on hand to discuss which foods and nutrients that can help boost a woman’s sex drive and hormones.

“Sexuality changes when you’re a parent and I want to empower Brooklyn moms to explore and pursue a fantastic sex life. We’ll focus on interactive, social events intermingled with workshops. A lot will depend on the feedback and response from our customers. We’ll tailor the program to meet their needs.”
