Stormy Daniels Talks About The Cast for 'Tropical Stormy'
"The only way to make a new movie fresh is with new faces," she told XBIZ.
To that end, Daniels has lined up an almost entirely new slate of female talent to star in her new movie, the middle chapter in her "Stormy" trilogy, which began with "Operation Desert Stormy" and will culminate with "Operation Snow Stormy."
Daniels pointed to the need for fresh female performers as the main reason for her revamped cast list, while also noting that bringing in a load of new characters made writing the script challenging — and fun.
"It was tough to find reasons to introduce all these new characters, but in the end, it really raised the quality of the script," she said, adding that Gianna Lynn, one of the new faces in "Tropical Stormy," gave Daniels a whole new skill set to work with. Lynn's background in martial arts gave Daniels the confidence to let the petite star do her own stunts.
But besides all the newly cast starlets, Daniels had to replace a prominent male face, too. Evan Stone will replace Steven St. Croix as the series' male lead. Although Daniels said she wasn't happy about having to rewrite St. Croix's role, she said she was looking forward to making Stone work in the part.
"The opening scene of the movie will explain the character's new look," Daniels said. "The whole thing actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because that scene is one of the funniest in the movie and his new look will be an ongoing joke in the film. Plus, Evan's a great actor. And hey — the fans'll be happy to see a new dick in me."
Along those lines, Daniels added that her boy/boy/girl scene remains a go with Marcus London and Tony DeSergio, who will also appear in the third movie.
Daniels has also hinted at some high-profile cameos in her new movie. The first will be a "mainstream actor well known to fans of kung-fu movies" in the role of North Korean despot Kim Jong-il. Daniels wouldn't disclose the actor's name, but she did say that he's currently in Canada shooting Stephen Sommers' "G.I. Joe."
One possible actor who fits that description is Gerald Okamura, a stunt performer who has appeared in movies like "Bloodsport III" and "Big Trouble in Little China," as well as next summer's "G.I. Joe."
Along with whoever plays Kim Jong-Il, Daniels said that she's trying to confirm a "surprising" actor to play the U.S. President in "Tropical Stormy."
"He's a porn star, but he'll be a very surprising person to see in a Wicked movie," she said.
"Operation Tropical Stormy" will receive a three-disk release. The full cast list is as follows:
