Vivid Inks VOD Distro Deal with Yappo.com

LAS VEGAS — Online video-on-demand distributor Yappo.com has signed an agreement to distribute content from Vivid Entertainment.

"Vivid is the most recognizable brand of adult entertainment in the world," said Tyler Ryan, public relations specialist for Yappo.com. "Vivid produces the type of high-end adult content that our customers demand and that we are proud to feature. From scripts, set design, directing creativity, marketing and the incredible performances of the Vivid Girls, the studio provides the complete package. We've worked hard to reach an agreement with Vivid and now that it's done, we couldn't be happier."

The agreement calls for an initial run of 1,000 straight and gay Vivid titles from the last decade. The first offerings are set to go live on Yappo.com and GayYappo.com on May 1.

"We are excited to offer our products on Yappo.com," said David Peskin, national sales manager for Vivid. "The firm offers a first-class service that has made them one of the leaders in the VOD market. We've gotten to know the Yappo.com team over the past few months, and we're looking forward to working closely with them." Vivid Entertainment was founded in 1984 and pioneered the exclusive contract performer concept with its "Vivid Girls." The company releases some 60 videos each year and has alternative marks, including Vivid-Ed, Vivid-Alt, and Vivid-Celeb. It licenses its brand and images in many fields, including advertising, apparel, book publishing, supplements, condoms, snowboards, calendars and comic books.

Founded in December of 2006, Yappo.com is a sister company to the TopBucks affiliate program and Pink Visual line of DVDs. Yappo.com and affiliated company GayYappo.com offer more than 32,000 DVDs from more than 700 adult producers including Wicked Pictures, Private Media, Pink Visual, Elegant Angel, Ninn Worx_SR, Diabolic, Hustler, Evil Angel, Adam & Eve, Jules Jordan Video and New Sensations.
