Bartholet Sets Acting Workshops for April

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Actor and Internet host James Bartholet has planned a new workshops for adult performers who want to sharpen their acting skills.

The one-day workshops will cover basics of acting and improvisation, with on-camera tapings of acting scenes. The workshops will be held in West Hollywood on April 18-19, starting at 1 p.m. and lasting four to five hours.

“With many features being shot and performers wanting to make that transition into mainstream, I think this will be a great workshop for them to take," Bartholet said. “We will go over scene study, character development and improvisation skills, and we will tape a scene that the students pick from a mainstream film, television, or stage production."

Bartholet studied at ACT in San Francisco, and has a degree from Los Angeles Valley College. He has performed in and directed various stage productions, television and films, and has performed sketch comedy at The Comedy Store, The Ice House and The Improv. He has worked on film for mainstream directors including Blake Edwards, Donald Bellisario, Richard Donner and David Lynch. He recently performed in the X Play/Adam & Eve production of “Not Bewitched XXX."

Signups for the workshop have started. Interested performers should contact Bartholet by email at lanitelifejames@aol.com with “Workshop Signup” in the subject line.
